From Corvette

Generations are usually defined periods of a certain model of automoblie. However, a generation can be defined by bodystyle and apperance, or by drivetrain changes. Corvette generations are mainly defined by bodystyle, although the 1962 Corvette and the 1953 Corvette are rather different, but both belong to the C1 generation.
